Le Bourget Airshow In France



Le Bourget Airshow takes place once every two years in the northwest part of Paris. It is the oldest and one of the largest air shows in the world: in 2009 it was visited by over 300 thousand people.


A plenty of free buses took guests from the railway station to the airport and back. Some vehicles were even accompanied by policemen on motorcycles.

The first exhibits are located next to the entrance.

Airbus planes represented by the European giant EADS.

EADS has four main divisions such as Airbus (civil aviation), Cassidian (defense industry), Eurocopter (helicopters) and Astrium (space branch). All of them were presented on the exhibition.


The pavillions were huge and it was easy to get lost. This is Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100, put in operation this year.

130 square meters were occupied by over 2 thousand of companies willing to demonstrate their aircraft planes.
 

The first four days the airshow welcomes representatives of aerospace companies.

This is the place where major transactions are concluded. Thus, over thousands of planes were sold this year.

Le Borget is also open to everyone who would like to attend the exhibition.

On Fridays students could have a look at the great achievements free of charge.

The plane Airbus A300 Zero-G imitates gravity-free environment.

The long-haul plane Boeing 747 was the largest passenger plane before Airbus A380 was invented.

Old planes like bomber aircraft CASA 2.111 from Spain were presented in a separate place.

Flight demonstration in Le Bourget started at 12:30 PM and was over by 5:30 PM.

Over thirty models were presented both small and giant. The Russian plane Be-200CS is used to extinguish forest fires, carry passengers and load.

Airbus A380 is the largest airliner in the world. The sight is recommended for those who fears to fly.

The first flight of A380 could be seen here 6 years ago. But even now its size and manoeuvring capability produce a lasting impression.

The military transport plane Alenia C-27J Spartan was developed in Italy.

The precision aerobatic demonstration team of the French Air Force was founded in 1953.








The show is over and pilots take their vehicles back to the base.
