In January 2010 Stuttgart Mercedes Museum hosted a presentation of the new team Mercedes GP, to which were invited many guests and journalists. The new chassis Mercedes GP MGP W01 will be submitted to tests 1 February, and the guests was last year’s car Brawn GP in the new firm white and silver coloring with a title sponsor of oil company Petronas. After 50 years of Mercedes factory team returns to Formula 1, svyavya ourselves very high goals. Its drivers – Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg is calculated to fight for the title in his first season. Button last year it was, but this year’s competition promises to be even sharper.
Ross Brawn said that work on a new fireball in the middle of a week we will see him at the opening of the first winter test session in Valencia. Already announced that the morning would be a novelty test Nico Rosberg, and after dinner he will replace Michael Schumacher.
On a test driver for Mercedes GP at the presentation was nothing said, but almost certainly it will be Nick Heidfeld, the contract which is rumored to have been signed. Alas, Nick was unable to find a place of military pilots in any of the teams.
